An Experiment

I made a mirror a few months ago for our playroom bathroom and completely forgot to post about it . This bathroom is really narrow so this is my best attempt at getting a picture of the whole mirror . I guess I should have snapped a few pics before we hung it on the wall .

I had the idea for something like this floating around in my head for a while but I wasn't sure how to execute it . Eventually I just started experimenting with different materials and patterns until I came up with something I liked .

To be honest, a lot of times my ideas don't pan out the way I envisioned but I really like the way this turned out . The depth and texture is exactly what I was going for and I love the variation in the color of the circles . Now that I have the process figured out, I am thinking about making some more to sell in my booth downtown .

I really like this. I try different things, too, that's the fun of creating and when it works out like this one high five yourself.

I like this! It looks like it took FOREVER, though!

It looks like a capiz mirror from far away - I LOVE it! I'd also love to see more of this room - that light fixture over the mirror is to die for!

Nice! I love the dappled effect. It's a great balance between geometric and organic.

This looks beautiful! Do you buy those circles or cut them out yourself somehow? Your girls are so cute, by the way : )
